Jitsology 101 Seminars
As a physiotherapist, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, and certified yoga teacher, I have designed these seminars to help athletes move smarter, prevent injury, and improve their performance on the mat. My goal is to teach you how to use your body more efficiently, ensuring longevity in your Jiu-Jitsu journey.
What You’ll Learn
1. Deep Dive into Biomechanics
We’ll begin with an in-depth lecture on biomechanics, covering essential concepts of movement science, anatomy, and how different parts of the body work together during training. Understanding these fundamentals is critical for injury prevention and optimizing technique.
2. Injury Prevention Strategies
In this section, I’ll outline common injuries in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and show you how to prevent them with proper movement patterns, joint stabilization exercises, and recovery techniques. You’ll leave with practical tools to stay injury-free both on and off the mat.
3. Applying It to Jiu-Jitsu
After the lecture, we’ll head to the mat to put theory into practice. We’ll break down key Jiu-Jitsu techniques, focusing on how to apply biomechanics and proper alignment to improve efficiency and reduce the risk of injury. This hands-on component will give you a new perspective on movements you perform every day.
4. Integrating Yoga for Recovery
Each seminar will include a segment on yoga and mobility training. You’ll learn how incorporating yoga into your routine can enhance flexibility, body awareness, and recovery, helping you stay resilient in your training.
